What is the ship's cash box?

The onboard fund is a shared fund that covers all expenses related to the cruise. Each participant contributes to this fund at the beginning of the trip, which allows all shared expenses to be paid for in a simple and transparent manner.

What the Ship's Cash Covers

The petty cash fund will be used to cover the following expenses:

Meals taken on board and at the tavern: All meals taken together, whether on board or at local taverns.
Port fees: Mooring and anchoring fees in different ports.
Water charges: Costs related to water consumption on board.
Energy costs: Costs related to diesel, gas, and gasoline consumption for the sailboat.
Cleaning the sailboat at the end of the cruise: The cost of cleaning the sailboat at the end of the cruise.

What the Ship's Cash Box Does Not Cover

Certain expenses are not included in the ship's cash fund:

Transfers: Costs associated with transfers to and from the sailboat.
Vehicle rental: The cost of renting vehicles on land.

How Does the Cash Box Work?

Upon boarding, each participant will give the skipper the amount in cash. The crew keeps a log of expenses, which allows each crew member to check, if they wish, the progress of the ship's cash box. You will not have to pay anything else during your stay for these group expenses.
